05 December was a busy installation day for the Ateneo University's tricycle Tricycle Owner and Drivers Association (TODA)!  Two mechanics, including the Vice President of the TODA - Allan, installed the Carbon Cutter in 19 trikes today and every driver noticed a large reduction in the gasoline smell from their exhaust pipes. The students of Ateneo University will breath that much cleaner air with much lower greenhouse gases thanks to these drivers being willing to be a part of this project! A week after the installation in 24 of the City of Malabon TODA President's tricycle units, we went back to see what the results were and to install more units. All the users loved the device and many more wanted us to install. A few of the already installed Presidents showed us their tricycle spark plugs and they looked beautifully clean -- which is only possible if the engine is running at excellent efficiency -- and you can see a couple here:  You cannot have spark plugs that clean if you are wasting fuel and polluting heavily. |
Monday morning a
jeepney failed its bi-monthly emission test with
an opacity test score of 2.50. (2.50 and above is
an emissions test fail and means the jeepney
cannot be driven on public roads.)
The next
morning the jeepney was emission tested again
and it ~passed~ with a score of 1.64.We installed a Carbon Cutter device on the same day and the owner test drove it. That is a 20% reduction of CO2 of 20%, a 20% reduction of unburned fuel spewed in the air and as well as a government verified 75% reduction in PM2.5 particles. |
In Oct, 2019 we met with 40 of the 52 City of Malabon, Metro Manila TODA (tricycle assoc) Presidents with the purpose of introducing the Carbon Cutter to them.  After speaking with them, 24 agreed to try the device. We installed and agreed that we would return the next week to check on the results. |
We went to the city of Teresa, Rizal, Philippines to meet with the presidents of the tricycle associations there and install the Carbon Cutter on a couple of tricycles as a demo of what it can do. What are the results of installing a Carbon Cutter? We applied for, and were accepted for, the Philippine government Environmental Technology Verification test of the Carbon Cutter. The test-vehicles were a three year old diesel delivery van, and a four year old gasoline motorcycle. Results...? Carbon Cutter has been verified by the Philippine Department of Science and Technology's "Environmental Technology Verification" testing as fulfilling the claims we make. Before the test we were told by the test supervisor that "no similar device had passed the (ETV) test yet". We smiled. And then we passed -- with flying colors.  |
